A lean management training organized by Zhongli Group was held on March 26th, 2016. Administrators from purchasing, material control and technology departments together with production line monitors attended the training.
The lean management was originated from lean manufacturing. It began from a successful practice in production management then extended to the whole enterprise. This is an update from detail management to strategic management. The lean idea is able to achieve better customer satisfactory, cost down, quality improvement, speeding up process and capital investment income improvement.
1950s was a period that the global motor market was occupied by American General, Ford and Chrysler Companies. Toyota from Japan established a scientific method of controlling and managing manufacturing process as well as raised a slogan of detail plan, strict discipline, hardworking and subtle concern to solve a survival crisis. This action made the company achieve minimum input brought maximum value. Then Toyota turned to be the king of world motor market.
Mr. Bao Honggang, a lean production expert served as the lecturer in this training. He paid a visit to Zhonglian plant the day before and analyzed the site management at the course. The vivid examples helped all learners to grasp the essential in lean management. Mr. Bao shared advanced plant management idea and effective cost control method and introduced some management tools as well.
All learners had a probably understanding of lean management in this short day. Mr. Zhu Huilong and Mr. Xu Feng, administrators from Zhonglian Metal Plant, digested the knowledge back to work. They organized a lean manufacturing operation competition to share with all staff and made the idea integrated to daily production. This is an opportunity to learn actively rather than being a burden to enterprise.
The training provided a chance of learning and communication. It laid a solid foundation for company development.
